Use of jacquard fabrics

"Satin jacquard fabric" knowledge.

First of all, please understand these three concepts: plain, twill, satin.

Plain fabric: Fabric woven with plain fabric is called plain fabric. This means that the warp and weft are interwoven every other yarn (i.e. the yarn is one up and one down). This kind of cloth is characterized by interlacing points, fast texture, quite scraping, flat surface, high-grade embroidered fabrics are generally plain fabric.

Twill: The warp and weft are interwoven at least two lengths apart, i.e., 2 up and 1 down or 3 up and 1 down. By adding warp and weft interweaving points, change the fabric structure, collectively known as twill fabric. This kind of cloth is characterized by a relatively thick, three-dimensional texture. The number of branches is 30, 40, 60.

Satin fabric: The warp and weft are interwoven at least three lengths apart, so the satin texture makes the fabric more dense and therefore thicker. Satin weave products cost more than similar plain weave and twill weave products. The cloth surface is smooth, fine and glossy. Plain, twill and sateen are the basic three ways of weaving warp and weft. There is no specific distinction between good and bad here, each has its own characteristics, among which sateen is definitely a fine cotton fabric.

Let's talk more specifically about sateen.

Sateen should distinguish between four concepts: satin, satin strip, satin check, satin jacquard.

What is satin fabric? In fact, you already know from the introduction that "plain, twill and sateen" are all satin fabrics, not specific fabrics.

The common sateen fabric is striped sateen, short for satin strip. The grain is a transverse extension. Using the process of first weaving and then dyeing, this kind of fabric is generally solid color. Can not afford the ball, not easy to fade.

There is also a kind of sateen called sateen, also a solid color, for the grid.

Satin bar and satin check for hotel bedding materials, cheap and luxurious practical.

Satin strips and checks are also used for home kits, but are far less popular than satin jacquard fabrics.

Jacquard fabric: The pattern on the fabric is woven, not ordinary print, not embroidery. Fabric weaving with warp and weft organization changes form a pattern, yarn count fine, the needle density is high, use up deformation, do not fade, comfortable. At present jacquard in the market is very popular, satin bed, it is high grade, grade. To distinguish the quality of sateen is to compare the yarn count and density.

Satin also yarn count. Let's talk about the count first, which is what we often see 30, 40, 60, etc.! Such as 30 also have friends call it 30S, that is the same, there is no difference! So what exactly is a count? Here's how I interpret it:

Count is the standard of yarn thickness. For example, one or two pieces of cotton can be made into 30 pieces of yarn 1 meter long, that is 30 pieces, and one or two pieces of cotton can be made into 40 pieces of yarn 1 meter long, that is 40 pieces; 1 two pieces of cotton can be made into 60 yarn 1 meter long, that is 60, in fact, the higher the number of yarn, the finer the yarn, the thinner the yarn woven with such yarn, the more soft and comfortable the cloth. However, the high number of cloth requires the quality of raw materials (cotton) to be high, and the textile mills and textile mills also require relatively high, so the cost of cloth is relatively high. High-count cloth is not very suitable for bedding, because it is too thin!

Tell me about the density of cloth. This is the data that people don't pay much attention to, but it is important that in the industry, tribute satin is basically not talking about the number, they only talk about  (such as 110* 90,128 * 68,65 * 78,133 *72), because the choice of the number is very few, generally there are 30S and 40S, 60S are rarely used. In a unit area, the fabric quality is better with more warp and weft threads (roots). Usually, more than 30 warp and weft threads are counted. Fabrics with fabric density (warp density + weft density) above 180 sticks/square inch are called high-count high-density fabrics. For example, 40 pieces of sateen 133X95 belongs to high count and low density, and 40 pieces of sateen 173X124 belongs to high count and high. Through the above introduction, do you have a certain understanding of the sateen jacquard
